Men who had the highest levels of lycopene in their blood (compared to their peers with the lowest levels) were 55% less likely to have a stroke and 59% less likely to have an ischemic stroke. Did you know that over 20 years ago, a review of a series of studies concluded that Lithium could reduce the urge to over-consume alcohol as  well as the number of hospitalizations due to alcoholism.  The review also found that lithium could stablilize emotional control (depression in women, aggressive behaviour in men) when used regularly.

DID YOU KNOW – that fatty acids are necessary for cell membranes, nerve coverings, hormone production, vitamin absorption, and more? Most of us get a lot of fat in our diets, but it usually isn’t the quality fat we should be getting. We need to eat more “good” fats from fish, flax seed, olive, vegetable, and not oils omega 6 and 9 fats respectively) and less saturated oils and trans fats (or hydrogenenated oils) contained in processed foods. Elevations in palmitelaidie and/or total C:18 trans indicate excessive intake of foods containing trans fats.
